Anyone using one? Thinking about swapping out the lid on my Terraframe and using this instead. Kinda like the idea of a "fly pack"

I've used one quite a bit on my Crew Cab. Not a huge fan - 1.) It's pretty heavy and 2.) It seems to stick out quite a bit on the back. That said, it's solidly made and does hold quite a bit. I have never once used it on its own as a daypack.

Took a look at my Terraframe and the lid is integral to the pack body, yours could well be different. Also, all of the buckles on my Terraframe are much smaller than the buckles on the Daypack lid, although that could probably be overcome.

Mine is an older Bozeman Terraplane, lid comes of and converts to a fanny pack. No quite a fan, but may monkey with it.

I've never used mine.

I have two MR packs but have never used the lid-for anything, ever.

I like mine. I like that it isn't 1 large opening or smaller "organized" compartments. It is large enough to pack good amount of objects in it but the smaller 2 compartments gives it some organization so your not digging through 1 large pocket for things when they shift around.

I've used it as a carry pack. Not good; it needs a stiffener or something to make it ride better when you're carrying water, etc. A MR staffer told me they aren't happy with it either and have been considering a design change. It is well-made.

16, I think I have one if you want to mess with it? Bought it when I bought the CBMR crew cab, which just sits on a shelf.

I bought the lid about 3 years ago to top off my crew cab (greatest pack in the world). When I ordered it I was unaware of the internal straps to use as a fly bag. I put it on once and wore it around on a morning hunt and had no complaints at all, BUT i just don't like being without my actual pack. I will never understand why people hike around without a way to get a animal out without having to hike all the way out to get a pack frame. I have since cut the straps off and use it just as the lid. Its a great design and I use it to put all my food and toilet, medical and cooking stuff in and when I leave camp I just hang it in a tree and wear the crew cab all day.

I'm thinking I might cut to the chase and eventually get a Stone Glacier Sky 5100
I sold my MR and went to Paradox.
Stone Glacier is very nice too
