Hunting backpack to accomodate 65mm obj lens spotting scope

I currently have an entry-level, but functional, Cabela's backpack. Would like a day pack for which I can fit a 65mm obj lens spotting scope in (straight eyepiece, if it matters). Suggestions?

Fremont, an answer requires a more critical bit of info than the diameter of the objective lens. So far your query is like asking if a 3 inch diameter pipe will fit in the trunk of my car.

LOL. Okay okay. I meant like with a specialized outside padded pouch, etc. Something that a birder wouldn't own to go look at double-breasted mattress thrashers or other such rare species.

Kifaru's Timberline bags have vertical pockets on the sides to accommodate spotters, but I don't really understand your question either. Most hunting packs are plenty big enough to fit an 65mm spotter. Get a stay-on case and chuck that sucker in the pack, in a place that's quickly and easily accessed.

MR Bighorn has a pouch on each side. One for the spotter and one for a tripod.

The Eberlestock X2 pack has side pockets for scope and tripod so you don't have to put them in the main compartment with everything else.

This is what I use. Its not as high end as the Kifaru or MR's but it works well for its intended purpose. The main pouch is just a big bag that you could easily get a boned out mule deer into.

The frame rides on my hips well, and I've had no problem carrying it all day. In a pinch, I can shoot my bow while wearing it.

The pockets on the x2 work perfectly for spotting scope & tripod, I believe that they were specifically designed for that purpose. It is day pack sized but I have hauled out elk front quarters in mine without a problem.

I wouldn't plan a multi day hunt out of mine and understand they aren't great for tall guys with longer torsos but they are tough to beat for a versatile one or 2 day hunting pack.

Thanks for pointing me towards the Eberlestock X2. Have one now in Rock Veil pattern. Everything fits as I'd hoped.
