Wanted to announce the new Ed T Quick Bolt Roll-up Cylinder Stove.

[Linked Image]

I have been working on a re-design of my roll-up cylinder stove for the past two years. I had three objectives in mind to release a new stove.

1st was to simplyfy the assembly. Less fiddle factor to put the stove together.

2nd was to reduce the weight.

3rd was to lower the cost.

With this new design, all three objectives have been met.

The new stove goes together with four machine screws and wing nuts. No more turnbuckles, no more body rings.

Like always, the stove features titanium ends, not stainless steel. The bodies are available in 12" and 16" titanium and 24 in stainless.

What is you lose a machine screw? Well extras are includes, but the stove can actually be used with only the two top screws as the legs also fasten the body to the ends.

Pot support rails are no longer integral to the assembly of the stove. If you want to use the stove for heat only, the support rails can be left home and you can cut another 1.2 ounces.

The stove comes with a damper and spark screen collar as well as a punched plate spark screen. If you want the least amount of weight, you can use the damper in the pipe, but I recommend the integrated damper/spark screen.

It also come with a stove bag and a semi-ridged tube that the pipe and body can be transported in.

Minimum weight comes in at 27 ounces with a 7'pipe.

The 16" stove will come in at $290 with a 7' plus shipping.

I'll have other prices and specs up soon.

The stove is an awesome cooker. I boiled 24 ounces of water with a temperature of 38 degrees F to a rolling boil in 8 minutes.

I shot a YouTube video of the stove assembly yesterday and here is the link. I'll have more photos as well as other specs on my website soon.

Thanks!
Nice! Simpler is better and it looks like you nailed it.
Based on my experience, those were good objectives. Not that the old style is bad, certainly not, but that appears to be a nice set of improvements.
That looks great! I think I would have an easier time with those wing-nuts.
Just an FYI, I can retrofit existing Ed T stoves to the new Quick-Bolt system. Cost is $40 for a 12' & $45 for a 16". This includes the new slim-line pot support rails and return shipping.

Thanks!
Well, that retrofit got my attention.

What do I need to do? Mine is a 12" stove.

Send me a PM for shipping address. You can either pay with PayPal or send a check with the stove. I don't need the pipe or collars.
Best'
Got my retrofit already enroute!! Looking forward to using it with the improvements!!! Thanks Ed!

Tim
Tim,
Glad you are pleased. It is super simply, bomb proof and quick to assemble.
And for those guys that just heat and don't cook on their wood stove, they can leave the pot support rails at home and save another couple ounces.
Was going to have my 22" stove upgraded but it got stolen out of my vehicle last week in my driveway. TWEEKERS. They got my Ti Goat shelter too.

Looks like I need to start out with another setup. No idea what I'm going to get for an shelter.
OPC,
That really sucks. If you want to talk about shelters give me a call.

sad thing is they probably will just dump the stove because they won't have any idea what it is
