Occasionally you run across a hidden gem. On very rare occasions, it cost less than $20. After fighting to get comfortable with a pant belt under a pack belt, I ran across this gem. Zero slip, infinitely adjustable, no buckles or metal hardware, and you never know its under your pack belt. Everybody who straps on a pack needs this belt.
They have a 3-4 week lead time. Mine was delivered in a little less than 3 weeks.

A guy who can sew even a little can whip out one of those in 15 min. I'm sure I have all the materials lying around somewhere although probably not in a color I'd like.

You'd spend what it costs on the materials. Having said that, belt buckles don't really bother me, there's not a lot of weight or stress from a hip belt there.
Never had a problem with a belt buckle, but maybe I just have a soft belly. I use a cheapo REI nylon belt with a plastic buckle.
I'm impressed enough with my HPG kit bag that I might just order one of these anyway.

True, HPG is top-shelf but there's no need to tell us twice
Smoke, Can you please repeat that?
I got distracted and then I got sidetracked.... and distracted.
I promise it won't happen again until next time.
I like the belt as well. Very comfortable, infinitely adjustable.
Molds to your waist. Lightweight, thin, dries out fast and won't slip or won't come undone. Easy to put on and take apart.
Awesome invention.
Had mine for over a year now.
Wearing a belt under your pack belt is a problem?
Who knew?
But yes, HPG is top shelf.
