I just mounted up a red dot sight on my Shield EZ, after finding an adapter plate online that fits into the rear sight dovetail. Fit is snug and precise. Red dot is a Hex Dragonfly that I had from another handgun- I will probably switch it out for a Holosun in the near future.

Took it to the range yesterday and sighted it in, then proceeded to take down the 6" steel knockdown plates at 50 yards from a rest, with few misses. At 25 yards offhand, I can smoke plates with boring regularity. I have had difficulty getting the accuracy I normally expect with open sights when shooting this Shield- maybe it is due to the light weight, or short sight radius, etc., but the red dot solves all those problems for me in terms of accuracy.

Just an FYI for any interested Shield EZ 9mm owners out there.

It looks OK for range use, but I would not trust something attached through dovetail for defensive use.
And yet you trust your diapers to stop leakage.

I am not as old as Biden, Trumpf or average member of American Legislature, maybe in another 20.
Gringo, just so you know the trick is to pick the best optic you can afford then buy gun that can accept it directly to slide without stupid adapter plate.
Don’t trust open sights attached in a dovetail or an adapter plate? As usual, you’re full of schit!
