I have a Ruger 22 cal LR semi auto pistol Made by Sturn,Ruger & co Southport Conn. S# 12-016xx. On the left side it is marked Ruger 22 cal. long rifle automatic pistol. No model number, etc. I figure it is not a Mark 1 or 11, so is it just what has been called the standard model?? Cant seem to find much info on it,but seems to be a sweet shooter. Any info appreciated

Sounds like a standard model. You can go to the Ruger website and find out when it was manufactured, which will tell you a lot. Does it have a fairly short, slender barrel? Heel clip magazine release? Post a couple of pics and we could likely tell you more.

I have one made in 1962 -- they are nice handguns grin.

Going on the serial number you gave, your pistol is from 1973, and is a Mark I.
