While doing some research for a reply to an earlier thread discussing Texas and its pistol laws, I was amazed to find that Texas will issue CHLs to non-residents. It is more expensive and likely will have additional problems (you will almost certainly have to come to Texas to take the CHL course), but if you lived in a state that doesn't issue them, but travel in several that honor a Texas license, it might be worth the trouble. Be forewarned that you WILL be thoroughly checked out and if you have any disqualifying factors you WILL NOT get a license NOR any money back. In other words, if you ain't squeaky clean, forget it.
