Wow an expensive to shoot revolver with less purpose than ever before.

Does that constitute "new and improved"?
Posted By: GunGeek Re: 28GA. Taurus Judge - 01/19/11
Yawn...but I'm betting they'll sell.
Posted By: croldfort Re: 28GA. Taurus Judge - 01/19/11
Weighs about as much as my Franchi 48AL 20ga. Me thinks it is too much of a not-even good thing. Use? Zombie grouse?
Posted By: FreeMe Re: 28GA. Taurus Judge - 01/19/11
Think of the things you could launch outta that if they work their way up to 12ga. shocked laugh

I won't be surprised if that's where they end up.

I'm not the least bit interested in the Judge, but the things do sell - and they're a damn sight better than some other guns I've seen. (Tryin' to be nice here...)

I actually see taht S&W has a Governor, similar to the judge, that to me is much more appealing looks wise than the judge. Never thought of getting the judge, but from the pics and video of the governor, it might tempt me.
Posted By: Cheyenne Re: 28GA. Taurus Judge - 01/19/11
Besides, a governor outranks a judge, right?
Posted By: Donner Re: 28GA. Taurus Judge - 01/19/11
They ought to rename it the "Taurus Joke"
I just can't see much use for one but maybe that's just me.

If they want to sell some of those things, they need to come out with one of those double action revolver 5 shot carbines in 20 gauge with a modified choke.

I'll even buy one of *them*.

The Duck Huntin' Judge is going to have to have a 3 shot cylinder.

That pistol better weight 5 pounds...

Not likely, it would be a class III weapon and have the same restrictions as a silencer or machine gun. If I'm going to pay the tax on a class III, it'll be either a can or a machine gun, not a bastard step child of an abortion.

The 28 ga is like taking your sister to the prom.......and thinking you may get lucky........

And after one day at the SHOT show Taurus pulled it and has decided not to produce the gun. I wonder how many states it would have even been legal in?
Posted By: RJM Re: 28GA. Taurus Judge - 01/24/11
...need one to go with my Browning Citori Skeet Gun...like I need a hole in my head.....

I wonder if Skeet is now going to allow backup guns in case you miss one of your doubles...

I can see a .45 Colt revolver that can shoot .410 shotgun shells being legal, but how are they going tog et away from a 28 gauge being a sawed off shotgun? What nonshotgun chambering can shoot in the same chamber as a 28 gauge shotgun shell? 50 S&W perhaps? I am curious.
Posted By: RockyRaab Re: 28GA. Taurus Judge - 01/25/11
I'm told that the only way Taurus "gets away with" the original Judge is that they pitched it to BATFE as a 45 Colt that can also fire the 410 shell - but it's primarily a rifled 45 Colt revolver.

That distinction abruptly goes away with a 28-ga, something that was mentioned to the Taurus folks at Media Range Day. I'd bet that the high MFWICs had a long talk about that overnight and by the opening day of SHOT had come to their senses.

I wish now that I;d shot the damn thing at Range Day. I'd be one of the darn few who had - ever!
