Interested in either a red dot scope or a reflex for putting on 22 handguns as cant see the sights like I used to be able to.
I wear contActs for nearsightedness and have cataracts (aren,t ready to remove yet)
I have to have reading glasses to read.
If i dont have my reading glasses on I see very well but I cant really make out the front and rears on a handgun.
If I slip my reading glasses up the target is VERY blurred but the sights very sharp.
I am thinking a red dot or a reflex would work for me on a handgun.
I want a small inexpensive red dot or reflex sight for use on 22 rimfire handguns.
Recomendations ?

Burris Fastfire III may not meet your definition of 'inexpensive' as they go for around
$200+, but they are small and light, will also fit some holsters. The fast fire II (two) I've seen for around $160., both are waterproof, the III you can replace the battery without removing it from the gun and it has more adjustments (I'd avoid the FF I {one} as it is not waterproof). Also there are several knock-offs some of which get good reviews over at rimfire central. Burris has mounts for some pistols (such as the ruger MK's, which results in a low sight to bore axis.

Other than that I have one of the bushnell TRS 25's, inexpensive (around $65/75 from optics & more {i think they call themselves} over at the rimfirecentral classifieds), small, adj. brightness settings, fits a weaver rail and absolutely no complaints.

Burris fastfire on a ruger MK III;

For a cheap one, the BSA's at Walmart work pretty well for $30. I'm surprised the two I've had for probably ten years are still working fine. For a good one, the Vortex Strikefire is on sale at Cabela's for $99. Primary Arms makes a very nice Aimpoint clone and the little Bushnell TRS25 is also a nice one. If you want to spend more, the Ultradots are hard to beat.

Uses are for squirrel hunting at ranges of 25 yards and less and informal target shooting in my backyard.
rugged and reliable as can be for my price point.

Less than $100 would be the TRS 25 for sure or the Primary arms.

Never tried the BSA's, my one venture with 'cheap' red dots was a tasco red dot and It was fine if in the right light, if there was any sun behind you it would wash out the dot and you could forget about shooting.
