This is half of my Forbes 20B.. changed the trigger out and put on some slimline G10 grips. Weighs in at 34 ounces with 7rds. Of 230gr. pills, 6 ounces more than my G36 with 6 rounds.. Nice feeling pistola, need to put it through some paces and order up an IWB..
Beautiful pistol and beautifully made. They shoot as good as they look and carry, too.
Rancho. Look at
These guys He makes a lot of holsters specifically for the SIG 1911 profile
Love my C3! I carry it every day.
Nice.. But will probably go with a tucker. The new 1911 compact nickle was pretty tempting at decision time..
Holy balls this thing is a shooter.. went through a hundred rounds without a hiccup this afternoon - 230 gr. ball, 200 gr. GDs, 230 gr GDs, 200 gr. XTPs, 230 gr. XTPs. Really likes 200 gr. XTPs over a max load of PP.
Ordered a Tucker cover-up, and I'm a happy man.

That just can't be. Take_A_Knee says that a 1911 won't work unless it'a a $4,000 hand built masterpiece. You must just be mistaken.
I have the Sig Ultra. I really like the way these Sigs run. Mine feeds everything I've tried.
Did take a pee get off the couch this week?

If I didn't have a Colt Gold Cup that I'm happy with, I could easily go with a stock Sig in the 1911.
What's 'have' got to do with it?
Rancho, that is sweet and unique. Congrats.
I more or less traded my Kimber Carry stainless for a reverse two-tone full size Sig. Is yours a model 80 trigger? Mine is but I was under the impression not all were. My Sig trigger is a touch lighter but a tiny bit mushy compared to the Kimber which was textbook crisp. I swapped the utilitarian looking grip panels out with some very pretty burled mesquite and the look went from tough\serious to genteel\refined. :-)
I am hitting better with the full sized but I would buy either brand again. Enjoy.

I'm going through a phase of not having enough S&W N-frame .44 magnums. When I've sated my appetite for those, I may well start looking at having not enough 1911s.

Not so, depends on what you mean by "work". Your loosely worded summation applies if you want G17 like reliability and lifespan from a 1911. Never owned a Baer but I'd wager they qualify and one can be had for half of your inflated estimate.

80 trigger i'm pretty sure from putting it back together...
That's pretty effin' UBER buddy.

I saw a bunch of Sigs at the last gun show I attended. They make damn fine looking guns!
Ok.. Help me out here on night sights. I guess the ones for Sig 1911's are super secret.
That's a novak cut on the rear, but what about the front dovetail?
Rancho, Mepro light and Novak both make sights for Sig 1911s
I believe the front is size "190"
Sig will install night sights for 120 bucks
That is in the game..
Thanks for the front sight info. Uber helpfull..
XS specs some for sig 1911s..
For your gun, i thinkbthe XS big dots would be the cats azz
