think I've only owned two .45 acps, a Star Firestar in "Starvel" finish, which I sold years ago, although it worked great, and my current Taurus 1911 with the aluminum frame.
I could live without the serrations on the front of the slide, but I can't complain about it either. It's worked pretty much flawlessly for around 2,000 rounds now.
