Is 45 Super cheating?
Posted By: GunGeek Re: 5 At 50 - 04/24/15
Flatter trajectory, but also quite a bit more recoil. So I'd say NO cheating there!! Nice shootin Tex!!!

If you hold your mouth just right ..... it's possible ..... with a Glock ..... turned upside down .... using your little finger to manipulate the trigger.

12" plate is correct, I did not measure the group.

Who cares? It's all in the kill zone. Looks like a good 50 yard deer-getter. smile

Les Baer will guarantee 1" at that range...he's uber.

He won't guarantee that they will feed and fire though...so there's that...

To be fair to Les.

Mine did 1.3".

Good shooting. Off-hand, I presume?

50 yards is a fair distance if shooting off-hand; most people don't really realize how hard it is to hit with non-target sights at that range.

Easy way to make money is to take all the bets you can get from the guys that say they can hit beer cans at 50 yards all day long............just sayin'. Talkin' about SD guns, not 22 target guns. You might lose a few, but you'll win more.

not to detract from this, not my intent. But more on the longer range shooting. Those of us watching palladin at quemato with a 1911 at 100yards, or shooting quarters out of the air with a .22.
lots of thing are possible for those that practice.

Handgun shooting at any distant is all about practice

To a point...........

There are natural shooters who need minimum practice & training; there are those who can be really good shooters with enough practice & training; there are those who will never be really good shooters no matter how much practice or training they get.

YMMV

Thank you.

Couldn't have said it better myself. If practice was all it took, we would all be like Bob Munden, Jerry Miculek, or Cisco Kid.

The weight of the cartridge in my shirt pocket is a reminder that some of us have to work hard to attain Barney Fife status... cool

So tell me, how much do they practice? whistle

I know how I shoot.

I also know much I practice and how much I shoot. I don't shoot a lot, and I practice less. Maybe I should do more of both.

I see. Was just curious as I have had nothing but perfect reliability out of my Baers and they have been wonderful to deal with.
