I recently traded into some + p+ for my 9 millimeter XDS period I originally had the 45 XDS but traded into the 9 millimeter because the 45 was a little bit too snobby for halfway decently time to follow up shots. Will the 9 millimeter with + p+ be any better or will shooting it'd be like having a cannon go off in my hand? I understand shooting it myself is the best way to tell, but if the consensus is that it's not going to be what I like, I would like to sell the 3 boxes or trade them fully intact instead of 1/2 way shot.
I'd guess anything +P+ out of a pistol that small will be lively. There is a good chance that it will negate the advantage you gained by going to 9mm from 45 in that pistol.

I could be entirely wrong, however. Hard for me to tell you what you will or won't like, without you let me shoot them for you..... wink
You traded your 45 XDS for a 9mm XDS?

Nines are definitely cheaper to practice with. As to defense loads, figure any of the better 9mm loads are about on par with the best 38 +P. Any difference between them is arguing about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. I'm a 40 guy but if I carried a nine, I'd load with good 147 grain JHP's (HST etc.) and say my prayers every night.
I've got four .45 auto's including a XDS. I just got my first 9mm but only because it holds 15 +1

Can't have too many shots. wink

Yes I traded from 45 to 9 and don't regret it. The extra rounds and the controlability of the firearm is well worth it.
Be very careful shooting the 9mm +p+, it's brutal, and kicks like a bucking bull. I simply cannot handle the sheer force of a 9mm anything, it's nasty. Stick with the 22 short.

Thank you for your wisdom.

Casey, it will be snappier/faster, but with less inertia/momentum.

If you have shot a comparable .357SIG in size and weight, that's what you can expect.
