$600 to $700 around here if they are in nice condition.

This one is in pretty good condition

475 price on it

I like K frames and don't shoot a lot of 357

Will the 14 stand up to +P 38s

In a word, yes.

Mighty fine revolvers IMHO.

I may go try and do some horse trading for it
Posted By: Steelhead Re: S&W 14 - 07/18/16
Sure, you can shoot +P's in it.

Not would I would do continually with it.
Posted By: Steelhead Re: S&W 14 - 07/18/16
I assume it's not a SA version?
Posted By: gitem_12 Re: S&W 14 - 07/18/16
Nope DA....I have a bunch of +p hollow points, it wouldn't see a steady diet of them. Mostly target loads
Posted By: chlinstructor Re: S&W 14 - 07/18/16
38 +P loads won't harm it. It's basically a K frame chambered for .38 sp.

Another words, same gun and frame as a Model 19. Sounds like a pretty good price, too.

This one didn't have much for looks, but it was a good shooter. Really enjoyable with HBWC's and target loads of Bullseye.

Kinda wish I still had it.

Great revolvers! Got one in 1967 for Bullseye shooting and let a friend talk me out of it 2 years ago.

I have a side by side 10 gauge I don't use much anymore I may do some hrose trading on it.

Looks like it would make a great bummin gun

I'd be on that like a Canadian on a hockey stick.

I'll also go full Nostraflave and predict it becomes the most accurate handgun you've ever owned.

That's a no-brainer.

The K38 is one of the great American handguns. Accurate, superb trigger and indestructible, if you take care of it.This one is from '51 and wears Herrett's Troopers. Under $500 for one that wasn't abused is a great price.
