I have the plain Jane second generation of the Ruger LCP, hate the trigger. Have seen some videos and the Ruger online catalog talking about the new Custom version, with improvements. Went to a large gun show last week, and checked out the local Academy store, I have never seen the new Custom LCP pistol and it was not at either of those places either.

Is it a rare promotional dealer item? Thinking of getting one if I could actually see one in real life. Anyone have/see one of these interesting pistols?

Thanks.
I've got one. Smoother trigger and usable sights. I can actually shoot groups with it.

I was seeing them everywhere for a while. After I bought one, I haven't looked. I know Gander Mountain usually had them.
I got two for my parents last week from our local wholesale house. They had 83 in stock when I placed the order. I'd suggest going to a gunshop and seeing if they'll order you one. I paid $184 each wholesale BTW.
I just wish they had made the trigger black instead of red. Mine shoots a lot easier that my older standard model.
Can't be too hard to make it black......

Probably true. The trigger, however, appears to be anadized alloy of some sort. A magnet won't attach so paint probably wouldn't stay on. And then if I were able to blacken it, I'd have to find something else to bitch about. (Grin)

Sharpie.

Dave
electrical tape.

That's what they used in the Godfather to make sure you left no prints.
That is a thought. It would last for a while and would be easy to touch up.
It will last longer if you mar it with sand paper.

I love Sharpies.

Or if you are okay with disassembling it, Brownells Alumahyde......
Looks good to me. Thanks for the suggestion, Dave. If it doesn't last, I'll try 2much's fix next.
