I broke a long shooting drought by firing my Browning High Power and Colt Combat Commander with my Ciener Conversion units-purchased at gun shows. Quality is excellent, fit and finish are top notch. The one for the Browning prefers Remington high speed ammunition, with W-W I got several failures to eject-? The one on the Colt was more accommodating.
I am a firm believer in conversion units, down the road I will be getting a CZ with their Kadet unit. My High Standard Victor was my 10th handgun but it's the one I learned to shoot with practicing Bullseye. I recommend the conversion units for new shooters, not only is it like having an additional gun but when they make the transition to centerfire the feel of the gun, the controls are totally familiar.

Speaking of conversion units. This has me regretting buying 3 guns in the past month...can't even scrape together a lousy $150.00 after that.

Never had a Ceiner. Have a GSG conversion unit that cost me a couple hundred. With mini-mags it's flawless. With standard velocity, there are some occasional stoppages. Very accurate, easy to swap out. And, parts are available should they be needed.

That has been tempting me for the past two weeks.
