I have an HK4 with 380, 32 ACP and 22 LR barrel assemblies and magazines with boxes. Extra 22 LR magazines. Not a matched set.
Overall condition is about 90%.
What would be a fair price to sell?
My thanks in advance for any help on this.
These days the pistols tend to go anywhere from $500-$600 if they're in .380 or .22lr. Conversion kits go for around $300-ish each. The .380 & .22 kits are the more desirable kits, with the .32's having the least desire, and the .25 being a bit of a rarity.
Four cartridge kits I've seen running $1,500-$2,000.
So if I had that particular pistol and I was looking to sell, I'd probably put it out there at around $900-$1,000 as the starting price and see if it goes up from there.
But I can tell you this. You'll be sitting on it for a while. They're not exactly in demand, so you'll have to wait around until you find the right guy who wants it.
Thanks for the info, GunGeek!! I appreciate it!
HK4s can be occasionally found in cells of German penitentiaries like in the "Night of death of Stammheim".
That's not a movie's title but was real when German terrorists being imprisoned in Stammheim jail commited suicide after the hi-jacked plane "Landshut" was liberated by the anti-terror unit GSG9 in October 1977.
One of them commited suicide by using a HK4 which had been smuggled into the jail by his lawyer.
Another pistol, used by another terrorist, was an FEG and a month later after removing the plaster from the wall in another cell revealed a Colt Detective Special.
Thanks for the info, guys! I'll probably ask around $1,000-1,100, which I think would be fair.
