PR6284: "I" like XP-100's and have owned several of them over the years.
I converted a couple to Rifles (one in 6mm Remington Bench Rest by the way!) and have an all original 223 Remington XP-100 that shoots extremely well.
Great looking pistol you have there - how does it shoot?
And how does that scope work (does it have a short eye relief - as it looks like a Rifle scope)?
And this... welcome to the Camp Fire!

Hello VarmintGuy and thanks for the welcome.
That is a Leupold rifle scope sitting on top, with 3 1/2" eye relief. Move your head close to get on target, then back up just a little bit before taking the shot. With the weight of the gun and the added on muzzle brake, recoil is comparable to that of a 22 Hornet or less, depending on load and bullet weight.
Accuracy wise, 3/8" @ 200 yds. on a bad day.
Nice looking XP-100! Hopefully it is chambered to allow the use of Lapua (slightly thicker neck) brass.
I killed a lot of chucks with an XP-100 in 223 with a 6.5x20 Leupold. I used the same method of getting the site picture and then pulling back until I had a black donut with a chuck in the middle.
Welcome to the Camp Fire!
Thank you CraigD.
Yes, the chamber is set-up for Lapua brass.
PR284: Thank you for that explanation.
Be careful.
Man that rig is shooting well there at 200 yards.
