Scratch one from my bucket list - a 1960's K-22 in a new Elpaso Saddlery thumb holster

The K-22 was passed down, the holster is new.. OMG this is the best Christmas EVER!

I got this from my uncle, he had the trigger worked years ago. (Who was already my favorite uncle)

I grouped under a quarter size group at 25 yards the first time I shot it.

Gives me the tingles....

Gorgeous! I love the overall size and feel of a K-frame in 22LR, especially in the longer barrel lengths. It's a perfect balance of the medium frame size to create a very steady pistol with minimal recoil from the little rimfire. EP Saddlery does fine work, too!

I have a K-22 from the early 50's. It needs a bit of work on the cylinder, but still shoots quite well. One of these days I need to let Cylinder & Slide restore it.

That said, a pre-lock, pre-MIM 617 full lug gun, maybe with a custom 5" barrel would be slick as heck

It is tough to beat a K-22 for a pleasant day's plinking. I really miss mine; ought to acquire another....
