Looking to replace a set of Uncle Mikes rubber grips, with a nice set of wood grips in Maple or Cocobolo etc. on my 640-1. Anybody have a set they would part with, or head me in the right direction to purchase new. Looked at Spiegel on line, but looks like a long wait. Thanks in advance.
Thanks hm22, just saw a few of those on Ebay. Put a bid on a Rosewood pair. Thanks.
I have a nice older pair of dark boot grips I will part with for free, I am just down the road a piece in Punta Gorda.
Shoot me a PM if interested.
Terry, Thank you very much! Sent you a PM.
Pachmayr is making some nice wood grips, smooth or checkered for the j frame. About 45 bucks. I bought two sets, one smooth for my wife's 36, one checkered for my Centennial.
I think I have a set of fancy walnut Herrett's. Appears you found what you wanted though.
Thanks Papag and EdM for the info.
A good set of wood stocks on a .38 snub is a beautiful thing.

Awesome set of grips Bob!
Ahrends are a good choice as well.
I like Ahrends, too. But, I just picked up a set of these Altamonts for an N frame.
I like Eagles for my S&W wheel guns.

You can get some great grips from Thailand on Ebay too.
I wish S&W still made these. You can still find though.
These Hogue grips were pretty cheap, but I like 'em.
This is pretty functional.

That your throw away?
No; it rode in my right rear pocket when I was purchasing rock cocaine during my time in narcotics. The tape helped secure the gun in my pocket and was a great gripping surface with sweaty hands. It also didn't look like a "cop gun".

I have an original factory j frame round butt manga grip if interested. Pretty sure it's about perfect.
I think I have a couple Herret sq butt grips and a factory sq butt grip also.
