Finally found a set of elk antler grips for my Smith M19.

I love the look, most are custom made to order, I found these pre-made.
I prefer to see what I am getting rather than be surprised.

I have a set on a 1911, from Lone Star Custom Grips. No surprises, no disappointment.

Those are purdy.

Someone on here made these, he let me pick the amount of horn showing and then sent pics of several to choose from. Fit perfect. I think it was (Patric) executioner.

Steelhead,

Pic's of your revolvers are what motivated me to get a pair.

Those knives are beautiful!

I am hoping people will post pics of 1911 elk grips, that's next on my list

My two sets of elk stags. The top gun a 41 Special Single Six, the bottom a Bearcat.

Think I got the OPs twin. Patrick Grasshorn (executioner) made the grips. The holster is a mid 60s Bianchi.

Ed,
I have long admired that little 41 special.

You have fine taste

I kinda lean the other way, but have had one in the past.

I like 'em. And Patrick does a fantastic job.

He's not too bad with sheep horn, either.

I watched Patrick while he made a set for my Blackhawk. I was happy with the job long before he was. I don't know how many times he would check the fit and then change something.
The final result could have been used without the mounting bolt installed I think

For us poor folks, I'd be more than happy to trade out elk antler material for grips, if anyone knows anyone in need of antlers. smile

No shortage of horns collecting dust around here. Though dogs and "skwerls" like to gnaw on em.

Very nice examples in this post. I prefer Ivorex, smooth wood or Pachmayers myself.

Perfectly acceptable to lean the other way, unless they don't offer the shooting iron you want in anything other than stainless. Then, you have to fling with what flung you.
