For those guys who have them, any real accuracy differences in the 16” vs 20” in 22lr?

No experience with shooting the 16”. But the 20” felt WAY better in my hands.

So that was what I bought!

My 16" is quite accurate, but the only reason to get the 16" barrel IMO is for suppressor use. Probably make a better truck or ATV gun too.

I have not fired a 16" but I purchased the 20" because it felt better balanced and looked better to my eye. It shoots very well and I have no complaints.

The 16” has its perils. I was shooting gophers with a T1X in 17 HMR at the beginning of this month. Said shooting was being done out of a pickup in one of our hay fields that was being tormented by them. I’d just shot one and had another pop up within the view of my scope and run to the right as I swung to stay on him. He stopped and stood up so I got the crosshairs on him and touched off the shot. I knew immediately by the sound that I’d messed up. There was a nice .17 caliber hole in the black molding around the rear view mirror and the faux chrome piece had been blown off the other side with an impressive hole in it too. Unfortunately I was driving my dad’s GMC pickup at the time and will be paying nearly $800 for a replacement once the new assembly gets to the
body shop. The 20” barrel would likely have come to a stop alongside the mirror as I swung to aim at the runner, whereas the 16” came up just short enough to be a problem.

I went with the 16” version because I have no intention of ever shooting it without a silencer. I also had my 77/22 barrel cut back to 16” for the same reason.

I started with the 20” guns and recently bought a 16” 22. Like above, no intention of shooting either wo a can.
