Swapped out the Bushnell 4500 1-4 I began with for a Credo HX 1-6 for a bit more magnification and a better, illuminated, reticle. I had pre-adjusted the scope using the rail-mounted CT green laser last night, so it was only a few inches off. This bargain piece continues to be a pleasure to fool with. So far it’s placing every different ammo choice in the same place at 50 yards, with only the 30gr Hornady Vmax about a half-inch higher, just where I want it. Fired 5-shot and a couple of 10 shot groups, all under an inch by eye, and some 5-shot around half that. Haven’t downloaded the data from the Garmin yet, but all seem to be as advertised.

While my choices for “standard” ammo for this will continue to be the Hornady 30gr and Federal 50gr, the consistency means I can buy what’s on sale without worrying about futzing with the adjustments.

The necessarily heavy trigger takes some getting used to, but it’s pretty crisp. So far, one malfunction, a stovepipe, but the next round fed and received a very light strike, not enough to fire it. The stovepiped case mouth was crushed by the bolt. This was with Fiocchi 40gr, and maybe the chrono data will show an underpowered shot.
Sounds good. I need to get mine back out and shoot it some more. I'm off for a week after tonight. Maybe I will , also need to check some 35 Remington loads , shoot some 357 and 44 handguns . Couple 22s , too much shooting too little time
Sounds pretty good. Good choice of ammo too. Those are the ones I tend to go with, most times, in the 22WMR.
The Fiocchi 40gr SP and Fed 50gr came up just slightly short on velocity, 24 and 11fps respectively. The 30gr Vmax exceeded spec by 49fps.

That little Garmin sure makes life easy. I did miss a string of the Federals because I forgot to reset the velocity range to the lower tier, and wasn’t watching the screen.
