I purchased one of the Kimber .22 target rifles from the ODCMP, and finally received it last week. I took it to our club's underground range, and got it sighted in with some older PMC Target ammo. It shot well, but really came into its own with Lapua Midas L match ammo. One little hole. I have some other match grade ammo from Eley, Fiocchi, etc. I have been told that Lapua Midas L is hte way to go, though.

Anyone else have one of these rifles, made when Kimber was in ORego, or have expereince with match grade ammo? I want to see just how good I can get, as I know the rifle is far more capable than I am!

Wanted one, but bought a 540X prior to the Kimber's being offered. Stock comb on the 540X did not fit me well so I traded it. frown

I bought an 82G a few months ago. It came with very nice aperture sights but I pulled them off and put on a 6-24 target scope. The gun shoots Eley Tenex very well with an occasional one holer at 50 yards. Wolf ME shoots very close to the Eley.
The Kimber is not in the same class as a Win 52 or Remington 40X but it isn't too far off. The biggest problem is that when the trigger is adjusted to below 2 lbs the pull is inconsistent.
Check the Kimber forum on Rimfirecentral for lots of good info.

I have a Left Hand Kimber from Oregon and mind shoots clover leaf groups at 50 yards with the CCI Mini-Mag HP. I use mind for squirrel hunting . I have never tried match ammo in this rifle because i purchased it just for hunting only and it loves the the CCI HP's .
