Check this stuff out!

I wonder what the price is, and if it's available in the US. It'd be fun to try out, but I wouldn't make a habit of using it - looks expensive.

WOW...that is a BIG development in .22 ammo...!

Wonder what the velocities are...

Bob
Cool, that hollowpoint sure looks nasty
These were thrown up here awhile ago ... seems some folks are concerned on the possibility of excessive barrel wear, esp older barrels that may be softer and really only designed for lead boolits.

That said ... if a 10/22 was your SHTF rifle ... they may be interesting.
The website seems void of any hard data such as bullet weights, velocities, accuracy results, price, availability, etc.

Wasn't there a thread about these a year ago?

I've never seen any of these or heard of anyone around here having some.

The Infantry one looks awsome.

Maybe this one:

This Swartklip South African rimfire ammo never showed up in the USA. May never have even been made.
I talked to the guy a few months and he was tooling up. He has a patent and some of the big guys wanted to buy him out and he declined. He is very concerned about quality and did not want to enter this market until he could meet demand. I'd sure buy some. Ken
If/When it ever shows up here, I'd sure pick some up. kend, did you happen to ask what the core is made of??? I noticed he's advertiseing it as non-toxic enviro friendly...

Yep you are right, it was around a year or more ago. I still worry about the wear in mild steel barrels.
I'm sure it would be a LITTLE harder on them but IF the jacket was thin enough it might not be too bad. I'd still like to try them.
Certainly looks nice, but price will have to be in line with Winchester/Federal etc to really capture my interest for ground squirrel applications.

Target ammo shoots "lights out" from my rifles, but at $16.00 a box has no real utility for me.
