I recently ordered one of the Yo Dave trigger spring and shim kits for my CZ 452. I have installed it in a number of different shim/spring combos. However, no matter what combo I use, there is a significant amount of creep before the trigger breaks, even with with the lightest trigger spring. Is there anything I can do to remedy this? Anybody else have similar experiences?

I just installed my 2nd yodave trigger kits and both have worked perfectly. The spring will have nothing to do with the creep. If you used the largest shin and you still have creep, either you have an issue w/the rifle or it is installed incorrectly. I looked on youtube for a video on installing the kit but found nothing. Sorry, not much help but you will likely get a better help if you post your question on rimfirecental.

Thanks for the link. I guess I got a bad trigger. The creep (no matter what shim tube I put in it) is horrendous. Is there any polishing that can be done to improve the creep?

If is a new rifle it may have to wear in a little- can you see any drag on the trigger or sear?? maybe a burr?

The rifle is a couple years old, but only has about 50-75 rounds fired. I'll check tonight to see if there's any drag or visible burrs. I plan to put about 150 rounds through it on Sunday, so maybe I'll see some improvement. I wonder if taking a little emery cloth to the mating surfaces would help any?

I found instructions to JB weld a flat shim onto the sear over at rimfirecentral.com, but that's a little more involved than I want to get at this time.

Polishing will only INCREASE the amount of the creep. Like txduckman07 said, there needs to be some material "added to" the area to take up excess movement.

Alright, so I came home after work and put the biggest shim back in it. (I also put one spring heavier in it since I could make it bump fire if I tried hard enough) There is still a little take-up before the break, but it's not anywhere near as rough and gritty as it was in stock form. I can live with it...I guess if I ever desire more, I'll opt for a Timney.
