I have a Remington 581 bolt clip fed repeater.

I think I read that there is another brand of commonly available clip that fits these actions just fine (as well as the 541 of course).

Which one is it?
Actually, 581 clips are pretty easy to come by. I think it was CDNN had tons of them just a few wks ago.

Cruise on over to www.rimfirecentral.com and go the Rem. forum and ask--you'll have an answer within the hour

BTW--the 5 shot ones are easy to find--the 10 shot ones are a get'em when you can deal (a little harder to find)

The Remington Model 77 Nylon.
Thanks guys. I've had terrible luck finding any 5 shotters, but come across the 10s quite often.

I'll have to see if the Model 77 are available anywhere.

Actually the 5-shot magazines are almost impossible to find; find all the 10-shot mags you want. Gunbroker had a used one(5-shot) for $40.00 and a new one(5-shot) for $50. The 5-shot for the Nylon 77 works, but Remington discontinued making them.
I'll stand corrected--last time I looked for the 5 shots was last yr. and there were a bunch if I remember right

But, it could be Al(zheimer) playing tricks with my memory again!
My kids call it 'Old Timers'.
