Anybody up on these, looks like they have a cult following and some outrageous prices.I have one in pristine condition and it looks like time to sell. Anyone know a reasonable current value? This one is Mohawk Brown/blue.

Put it on Gunbroker for at least 7 days with good pictures and description and you'll find it's current value. Probably plus some if you get the "cult" fighting over it.

I've owned several of the different nylon rifles but never had the lever. Its crazy what even the 66 mohawk brown will bring in pristine shape to the right person. I've had a couple of the seneca green 66 that were in really bad shape but still sold for what i consider high. As far as your 76, the sky is the limit at auction!

I bought it a few years ago for the proverbial song, cause I like them and figured to use it�found out what they are worth and immediately mothballed it�I use a Nylon 66 when the urge hits �..

The 76 is a fun rifle that you just don't see every day

Hairtrigger nailed it. It's the only lever action gun Remington ever produced and it has become a real collector piece.

I bought one many years ago just after they came out - over the years I have considered selling it many times but never could because I like unusual guns - and it's rare enough that I didn't think I could ever replace it at a reasonable price if I decided I wanted one again. (but I ended up getting a couple more that I thought were bargins - sold one of those along with most of the other Nylons I had accumulated, but still could not sell my frist 76).

IMO they are the worst of the Nylons for shooting, but agree with everyone else that they are one of the best for collecting. I think that quite a few of the 76's may not survived. The piece that holds the lever was prone ot cracking and I think cracks could develope in other places. Nylon was stong enough for a semi-auto with a spring loaded bolt but not for a gun where the bolt had to lock - the 76 actually does not fully lock the bolt but has it spring loaded to allow some buffering of the recoil, you can stick a pencil in the ejection port and still close the lever on these.

If you list it I also would be interested in watching... I still am thinking of getting rid of one of my bargins.

Cabelas in Rogers Mn has a bunch of them in their gun library. They told me they bought a collection of over 300 from one guy.
They are priced roughly from $500 to $1400.
Most are in the $6-800 range. They have been there a while.
They have bolt, lever and semi auto versions, and black, brown and green stocks (I'd never seen before). Metal is blue or chrome plated.
Condition is very important.
