I have a weird question. I bought a new Savage Mk. 1 single shot rifle in .22 RF and would like to put a scope on it. My local gun shop had the front base, but not the rear. This rifle is basically the same as the common as dirt Mk. 2 bolt action that everyone has. I just need the rear base. The base for the center fire 110 is available but is not fitted for my supposedly common rifle

I Tried Academy and they don't carry it, Grafs, and Cabelas do not either. Could not get a straight answer from Weaver as well. I ordered it from Midway USA and it never came, when I tried to E-mail them twice they sent an asinine remark that says "Oops, we missed the target", what the heck does that mean? Now am writing to Midway using a conventional letter just to get my money back, I stopped doing business with them last year and made another mistake this year by trying to order a small part for a common rifle from them.

Anyone know of a merchant that carries scope mount bases for common rim fire rifles that don't send jerk comments and actually deliver the goods?
talley?
Talley does not have Savage rim fire bases either, may have to contact the Savage factory or a dealer in rare parts like Gun Parts Inc. Or, do any antique rim fire bases or other makers of rifles transfer to the Savage rim fire bolt actions in fit and dimensions?
Who dresses you?

Wow.................
Ain't it got grooves?
No it is pre-drilled with screw holes. It is really an old style receiver, the way they made them decades ago. The open sites are ok, but wanted to do some shooting at 100 yards plus and felt the scope would be a good move.
You ain't no good with HINTS,are you?.................

TFF!!
I think BKL makes mounts for most all rimfires. S.W.F.A. sells them.
BKL's mainstays are mounts that affix integral rails,I've more than a few and they can do nice things.

If you've a rail to attach 'em too...............(grin)
I found a rear mount from E-Bay, it should come soon in the mail. Normally I am not a big fan of E-bay as I think they push their liberal agenda on people, but will mount the new unit, and try to sight in the scope in a week or so. It will be interesting to see how well the Savage rifle shoots at 100-200 yards.

The gun is new and has not been shot much due to the ammo shortage, should be interesting.
Pass the 25MOA 1913 extended rail, for both greater ring spacing and added erector latitude, along with superior fasteners.............(re-hint)
