Winchester Mod.61 - 09/22/14
I found a Winchester Model 61 in .22 S L LR at a gun show yesterday. It ended up coming home with me as a companion gun to my Mod 61 .22mag
I love these Model 61's I bought my first one, a 22mag in 1962, $64.95 new in the box if I recall. I sold that gun after many years of using it and regretted ever parting with it. About 8 years ago I found another one in .22mag, very expensive but it has doubled in value since then. The regular .22 I bought yesterday was costly too but I don't think they're going to get any cheaper. Anyway these two will be mine until they throw dirt in my face, then my grand kids can fight over them.
