I do it all the time on my 40x, CZ's, 77/22's and Marlin 25 & 917 .... ain't that tough ... If my meat hooks can do it, most should. Actually the follower on my Marlin 25 does get in the way of single loading after thinking about it.

FWIW there is an outfit that makes such a device ... Compass lake or the other good service rifle upper maker (WOA). One of them makes a 22lr upper and make a single loading device thingy .... check it out. http://www.compasslake.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=22&products_id=91

Here's how to make it simple.

First you get yourself a BB gun that requires loading the ball in the case before inserting it in the chamber.

Make sure you're sober before doing any of this.

After only one day at the range you'll find that SS bolt gun loading is dirt simple. Trust me.
