I checkered the bottom one and may checker the others later.

some good looking figure to the grain on those stocks.
I have a nice walnut stock on my 10/22, bought it here. It was de-clubified into a nice svelte configuration, to that I added a 77/22 barrel (without sights), that was macined by CPC to work in a 10/22. Nice slick little rifle. No Pics ... I may have to remedy that.
Nice stocks. The checkering really makes the bottom one stand out.

Very nice Neil!
Thanks guys for the compliments.

I like the way you reshaped the stock on the bottom rifle, the checkering really makes it look classy.
I like that bottom stock a lot.
Ditto here Neil! That bottom stock rocks! Nice work.

Who did the stocks?
I did the stocks.

I'm curious; what, if anything did you do to the squared lines along the comb of each stock? I've considered doing something similar, but the stock seems to have too little thickness up near the comb, while it has an overabundance of meat toward the bottom of the butt from aft of the pistol grip to the toe.

I thin it down with a hand plane, draw knife, and spokeshave. Then lots of sanding. My second hobby is woodworking.

Just to be clear. You're thinning down the bottom of the stock between the toe and the grip to make it more proportionate with the newly rounded over comb as well?
