Mossberg 340BA, from around 1968. S330 rear peep, S320 front, Remington golden bullet hp, 100 yards. Took 3 to walk it in, and then 3 once it was set up. I have never shot a .22 this accurate. For the 150.00 I gave for it, it is amazing.
Those old Mossbergs will shoot but don't tell anybody or the prices will go up
Mike
Yeah - I am so impressed, i have 2 of them. The 340, and a Westernfield 855 (Mossy351) that I put the same peep on. It is not quite as good as the 340, but still very impressive. The 3 shots are just 7/8" center to center. Not saying i can do that all the time, as my eyes get tired quickly. Still, I think that is what the rifle CAN do, if I do my part. This peep sighted .22 thing is kind of a hobby....Just installed a Lyman 55 on my woman's Remington 514. Dang woman nearly outshot me!
Why are you shooting at a falcon?
HAHAHA!!!! Made a couple of prints that did not come out well, so I used them as target backers....Nice stiff, 140# paper....Sure could not see the Gyr at 100 yards...
Nice group. Is it me or does that red bull provide almost a 3d effect on the screen.
Dave.
Noticed that - not sure why, but it's COOL! I really do not think I could hold it together for more than 3. That's why I am not a target shooter....'cept for fun.
Why are you shooting at a falcon?
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that qualifies as a Raptor hate crime. Turn yourself in at the nearest USFWS office in the morning.
I wondered why it was so faint! I guess no point in wasting paper like that!
my $25 western field Mossberg single shot out shoots my target barrel 77/22...

The woman and I will switch to Obama targets right away.....(the woman's idea)
