To any that have use them, how well do they work?

They work well in revolvers, or at least they work well in my Rossi 515s and S&W 48s. They also work well in Savage 24 combination guns, but they won't feed though any magazine that I've seen and the rim configuration may bend the extractors on some bolt action rifles. I know this because I forced one into a Marlin 882SSV and had to knock it out with a cleaning rod.

You could try making them by sanding most of the rim off a fired 22 Magnum case and then cut a couple slots from the mouth back to about 1/2 way to the rim. All they do is keep the smaller diameter 22 LR cartridge centered in the chamber.
Thanks 260RemGuy. I was hoping that you would respond to my post because I remember you writing about the MCACE adapters in the past. I tried to send you a PM but apparently your mailbox is full.

I am interested in the adapters so that I can shoot .22LR in a .22WRM Savage 24DL. Glad to know that you had no issues with adapters in yours.

I probably will also try making one as you suggested. Should be easily doable. Grind enough off the back half of the rim of a fired case so that a .22LR cartridge can be nested inside. Slots can be cut with a cut-off wheel in a Dremel tool.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Good luck!

Curiosity made me do it.

Turned out it was not as simple as first thought. At least not with the Winchester WRM hull I used. After grinding off the back end of the .22WRM case head, a CCI SV.22LR will not fit in the resulting tube without boring a few thou off the ID.
Since MCACE sells them 22LR to 22MAG chamber adapters in 3-packs, it is worth trying to try to cobble one together your self, since there isn't any rocket science level expertise required.
