What a neat looking little rifle. Good on Ruger!
What it should have been in the first place. (Although I understand the original intent, which was to make it a rimfire look alike for the .44 Mag carbine.)
Marlin did the M1 carbine .22 thing back in the 60's and 70's with the models 99M1 and 989M2. They're better looking than the Ruger and most likely more accurate too. My brother and I still have 989M2's from the 70's. Both will average about 3/4 inch for 5 shots at 50 yards and have been very reliable. If I didn't already have one, I'd be looking for a 989M2 in nice condition before I'd buy the Ruger.
You do know those Marlins weren't 30-30's don't you?
