Hi all,

So, I did it again. Like a kid in a candy store I saw something that looked good and I grabbed it.
This time its a Marlin 81 DL. The walnut stock with lots of figure did me in. I'm a sucker for good wood.

BUT - it also comes with a broken buttplate, and a once-nice factory peep sight that someone ground down to make room for a cheap scope (the receiver isn't grooved for a mount)

I think I can just replace the aperture if I can find one, and ill be looking for a buttplate.

Does anyone know of some sources? Its a beautiful old rifle that I want to straighten out.

Thanks all
Kragman
Just found aperturesandmore online. Looks like just the ticket for a peep.
Try Numrich, they might
Numrich has some reproductions for 14.45 in stock.
Maybe what you want is here,

Thanks all
I may pick it up this week. Ill Try to post some pics when I do.
A Sears 42 DL is the same thing as a Marlin 80 DL
Which is just like a Marlin 81 DL, except the 81 has tube feed.

I have one of these on another rifle and they are of good quality
