Thinking about buying a backup 4-wheeler to go with my trusty ol' 2011 700 Grizzly and was wondering if the quality of the new machines is as good as the old?

Thanks for any information.

I'm a yamaha slut. So I'll always recommend them. That said - talking to others, no issues lately with them that I've heard about.
Thanks.

I've been doing a little youtube research and the only gripe is they are a 'dated' machine without the newer electronic tech. Sounds good to me...lol

I made a phone call this afternoon and found one at a semi-local dealer. He said availability is tight, they make an order every 3 months and get whatever they can get.

It's the basic EPS model with the 'standard' old tires not the new skinny sidewall versions.
What do they run OTD not counting sales tax?
$12k, which is crazy but the purchase is partly for tax purposes so be it.

Speaking of crazy, I'm not exactly crazy about the white/grey color scheme but whatever.

Good choice Sam. As far as I am concern the Grizz is the Cadillac of the ATV world. My BIL was looking for a new ATV to replace his POS Polaris and I told him to get a Grizz. He called me two nights ago to tell me he had bought a Kawasaki Brute Force, to which I replied "sounds good". He then stated that he had found a 22 Grizz 700 with aftermarket tires, windshield and winch for $8000 and only 475 miles. I ask him why he did not buy it and he told me he did not want to drive the 300 miles to get it. As a side note he is a little slow. LOL.
Damn that '22 was a deal!

I had a 750 Brute Force. It was by far the most FUN wheeler I've ever had. The power is amazing.

Too bad the engines don't last...

Hell yeah it was and he's going to be wishing he would have drove the 300 miles when that Brute engine takes a schidt.
If I was in the market, I would look no further than the Grizzly 700.
Well gentlemen I made a phone call this morning and bought the Grizzly.

It'll be a week or two before I make it over to Glasgow to pick it up but when I get a few miles on it I'll let you know what I think. Hopefully it's as good as our old one!

I’m a big Yamaha fan as well. The Grizzly 700 is the top of the hill machine. The four wheeler that all others are compared to IMHO. I also have a Viking and a 400 Big Bear.

Buy another Grizzly and never look back.
WTF? Who is their color scheme VP?
The budlight tranny?

I mentioned this not long ago, but after buying a 2023 Kodiak 700, Yamaha sent me a survey regarding several ATV topics, with a big part of it being color schemes. Of all the schemes they presented, and there were many, only one ( a full desert tan) was anything I'd consider "decent". The rest were atrocious, I mean almost laugh-out-loud bad, being a lot of two-tone schemes with neons or primary colors mixed with earth tones in big swaths. Kind of like a junkyard bike you might build from 2-3 wrecked machines. It left me scratching my head for sure.....
Krylon is cheap......
I much prefer the tan/green/grey you can get with the Kodiak but I wanted the larger machine so it's the white/grey combo. And the white/grey is actually better IMO, than some of the year's past color schemes.

Probably a bunch of techno soyboy's coming up with this trendy chit.
Cover it in cowshiit and tabacky spit you hillbilly.....

that goes for Dirty Don too!

Loves.
Brojemus, I plan on keeping The White Knight pristine and clean...
Nice unit👍

Enjoy that new Grizzley Sam Yamaha is a good bike. I'm a Honda guy 3-wheeler & 4-wheeler. Wife has a Brute Force 300 she likes it I don't but it's what she wanted.

You'll have to use it as a going ta town rig with those fancy new boots.
Dealer called yesterday and they had a delivery they were trying to schedule that is fairly close to us so he asked if I wanted him to deliver the Griz as well. I said sounds good!

Gonna have to clean out the mess in the garage...

Here is the 50th Anniversary Special Edition. I like this color scheme.

Those are both good lookin'!

I would have tried to get one like those but I didn't want the crazy low pro mud tires.

I'm thinking the traditional tires like on my 2011 will offer a better ride for off-trail cow chasing in the rough country.

Yeah, you probably don't encounter much mud out in the hills.
We get some pretty nasty wet gumbo but try not to ride and tear up the countryside when it's overly muddy.

The dealer just dropped the new Grizzly off here in town at my house and the white/grey isn't overly annoying, it might actually grow on me. Took it for a quick spin around the block and it didn't break down...lol
We need some pics lol.
You're gonna have to settle for really lame garage and driveway pics....lol

I felt kinda bad for my trusty 2011 when I opened up the garage door and backed in the new girlfriend... That '11 has been an awesome machine.

Good looking ride Sam.....nice to know you've got at a minimum 20 years of use coming out of it.

What was the sticker shock price on those Rooster?

I've been on ATV's since 13yo, I'm 55 now, so I'm not hot air Brother. Yamaha/Honda are go to brands, the Griz is THE BEST all purpose ATV out there, no matter the year. I don't own one, have two 2000 Kodiaks, wife has a 2021 Honda Rubicon. I tried to buy her a Griz instead of the Ruby, but none in stock locally, during the Corona craze. Buy the Griz, it's one of the few sure things/no regrets you'll have in life, sheer enjoyment. I rode the first year models and recent ones, ALL GOOD!👍🏻
FWIW - I have a 2007 Grizzly 700 that has been a great unit. Had the stator burn up, added the updated side cover with a new stator. Replaced rear CV joint boots, actual CVs were good.
Other than tires and regular maintenance, it's been reliable as a hammer.

It looks like they start at $12,400 for the XT-R. shocked crazy
That’s a great looking atv. You gonna add any boxes or extensions to the racks?
The white/grey is kinda growing on me!

Only thing I plan on adding is a 25 gallon weed sprayer. Plan is to keep this one for easy farm work and continue to thrash my old blue Griz for cow work.

I might also get one of those fancy bale bed lifts for it so I don't have to load it with chains.

Aw yes. I forgot about the gumbo. That is some slick schidt.
Soil this machine yet????
No...

It's still stashed away.

Garage queen in the making.....lol
