It is a very unique place. The Elk are there although not as many in the past but they are there.

Im interested to know what the purpose of the Patrol Cabin is. What does your Dad do there? What a beautiful place.

Basically he is there for Information and education. Helping, advising and as a "host" to all those traveling through. They also do a good amount of work clearing trails, checking camps, cabin maintenance etc.
