I looked at a Tundra in Laramie sometime ago.. I passed on the deal, but now think I should take it.. But it has been moved to Montana, I believe, I have the vin#.. Anyway I can locate this vehicle?? The dealers here are not anxious to give the location.. Can't blame them.. But I still would like to talk to the people that have it now..
Unless the title has been transferred, it's still owned by the same company. They aren't obligated to tell you anything although I can't imagine why they'd try to block a sale to you.
Thanks..
Rock Chuck, I know the truck has been moved from Laramie to Montana.. But it hasn't been sold.. One dealer said he would get it, but it would cost an extra thousand.. If I had the dealer, I would drive to Montana and get it..
Your local dealer isn't likely to tell you who has it. That would be $1000 he wouldn't get.
That is my problem.. Thanks for the interest..
Might try a Toyota/Tundra forum. Seems that many moons ago when I had my Cummins I read posts of ways to search Ram inventory with a VIN. Toyota may have something similar. Sorry I don't have anything more specific to help.

Try this. I used Bozeman and specified 500mi, because it is sort of centrally located. You might try to narrow the search by adding a detail or two. Vehicle specifics aren't always entered or entered correctly, so that might foul the search up. Lots of dealers post their inventory on Cars.com. I'm very surprised Toyota.com doesn't have a locate feature.

Hey thanks, they might have this.. I never looked for a truck this way..
4 or 5 years ago, we were looking for a late model used pickup. We made up a list of what we wanted and I started looking online. At first, the only one we could find with everything we wanted was located in Hermiston, OR, about 400 miles from here. We later found one much closer.
All of the larger dealers now use the web to list their inventories. It's a very handy way to shop.

Start out with a simple search, like 'Montana tundra 2015'
The Kalispell and Great Falls locations have an option to refine a search by VIN number.

Also, here's a link to all the dealers in Montana as an FYI.

If those two dealers don't have the truck, I would hazard a guess they are in the same 'dealer network' of who does have it and could have it delivered to them at no extra cost. Then drive up and get it like you already planned on doing.

Thanks guys.. Found the truck I want in Helena..
