I say go for it. Others on here will say Plastikka is the only way to go. I’m in the minority by far. I’m liking my X-Bolt HCS. Topped it with a 3-9 Super Chicken. Don’t buy into the not being able to rebarrel crap that’s spewed. If you do a search that myth will be proven wrong.

I have an 11 oz leupold Vx3i 2.5-8x36 and a 18 oz leupold vx5hd 2-10x42 I could mount to this in Talley quick detach lever rings what does the campfire say? Max range 300 yards

I'm sure it's a good rifle. I like X-bolts and have a lot of positive experience with A-bolts.

But if I was buying a mountain rifle, I don't think I would buy something so...shiny...
