Hello guys! My gunsmith had an oopps moment and broke my trigger guard on my rifle! Now I am having issues locating a replacement.

At this point I may be forced to buy a cheap beat up old M77 to use for parts.

Anyone out there have any ideas where I can get one?

Western gun parts doesn't know.

Thank you
Pacific Tool and Gauge has steel replacement units. Long action floor plate and trigger guard are $99.00. I was very happy with the fit and quality of one I installed in my 7X57.
I bought a couple from Jack First in Rapid City, SD.

I broke a couple of the alloy trigger guards when I was opening them up for Timney triggers.

So your GUNSMITH broke it, and now YOU gotta find another one??? Did he do this before, or AFTER he sat on it for 4-6 months, “getting to it”??

Good luck, and find another ‘smith...

Yes, your gunsmith should be the one responsible for replacing it.

That’s what I’d think too!! If I came over to your house to do plumbing work and fuuucked something else up, I’d fix it.

I agree, but it has been more than a year and no correspondence!

That's not a place to do anything with! Not only a poor excuse of a GS, but no correspondence for a year? Is he in possession of your rifle?

Go in person and get it back. Now! 77 Trigger guards are not that hard to come by - he should have replaced it immediately, on his own.

And I'd go steel if I ever break mine (again....)

I just happened to have an alloy one already on hand from 30 years ago.... smile

Try Numrich Gun Parts for the trigger guard.
