I’ve got an opportunity to pick up a used 300wn. The barrel is stainless and has far more shine than any of my other SS rifles. Does anyone have experience cerakoting one? Is it worth the effort? Are there are options for dulling the finish?

Any other comments on your Seekins Havak experience?

Most of the new ones they sell are cerakoted. So I’m thinking it’s possible.

Paint it, tape it, coat it, blast it, use it, there’s a 100 different ways to knock the shine off

I’ve a element and think highly of it

Two PH2s in my family. A 6.5 prc and 300 win mag. Both are very nice. I’m a big fan of seekins.

In your case I’m not sure I’d buy it unless the deal was good enough to justify the extra costs of treating the shine.

I have a PH2 in 6.5prc

Came cerakoted with a stock that looks like orange sponge paint on it

Super accurate

Mine's an Element and I went with the black cerakote due to the less shiny finish. It's been one of the easiest rifles I've owned to get dialed in and shooting well. I'm happy with it and see it becoming my go-to killing rifle. I'd buy another...
