If one is looking for a compact, light 223, with a short (folding or collapsing) stock, which one would you choose between CZ Trail and the Howa Mini?
Tried looking at them in store and while they are different, I couldn't decide ....
JTAC uses the Howa mini, so my first question would be, have you looked at those?

All the folding/collapsible options I’ve seen start at over 6lbs without optics, so unless the small footprint is important, I’d suggest going with a lightweight conventional stock.

My latest version of a Mini, the SS 6.5, weighs 6lbs 2.2oz with a 3-9 Trijicon on a rail and with a paracord carry strap. My Carbon Stalker .223 goes IIRC, about 6.5 with a 20oz scope. Both have aftermarket magazine setups.

Your decision of course, weight or compactness…….
