Heading to the Petting Zoo either tomorrow or Wednesday.

If the occasion permits, I plan to ruin the collector value of this un-fired High Grade Browning 1895, chambered for the 30-40 Krag.......

My hat is off to you GW for taking the porkers with style! Been wanting to run across an affordable 1895.
Nice lines of that one. Good luck with it. I would have to be pretty close to use open sights though.
That's a deer and mountain lion gun, not a pig gun. Says so right on the sides. Pigs will probably laugh at you.
😎👍
There is nothing more fun than ruining the collector value on a hunting gun. Enjoy
Good plan! Safe queens suck…..
Blasphemy! 😁

I actually like light handling marks on a rifle. I refinished a few stocks and left a few marks before re finishing. It gives character. Most of you guys don’t know that guitars have been available made to look old for quite some time.
That is gonna be a great sausage maker!

I like light handling marks on a rifle too! Most of the rifles I like are way outside my budget in mint condition. But when I find one with some ordinary field wear, it's often "worth" half (or even less) what it would be mint. And rifles are meant to be used (but not abused).

That is a very pretty rifle.
Kill some damn pigs GW

Son in laws feeder, put up protein feeder Saturday.

Wow! That oughta dazzle ‘em!

Good luck, though I suspect luck won’t have much to do with the outcome…..
I have the plain grade version of that I bought new in 1985. I put a Williams peep on it when I got it. So far have not found a hog that a 180gr. RN Sierra won't go through. it also worked fine on my first (and so far only) bear.

Ran into a big sounder of Sows and baby pigs this morning early, this old Sow decided she was going to eat me to protect her little pigs-- had my little .223 in my Jeep put a 55gr sp between her eyes as she came at me.DOOOM!!! on her. Rio7

G.W. It's not dry here, looks like a jungle habitat, but more rain never hurts us. Rio7
Geedubya, I got one of those rifles. Looks just like yours....well almost, mines a 35 Winchester.

Very nice rifle Geedubya. I still have a Browning 1895 in .30-40 Krag. Nothing fancy, but one of these days it will get a hog as well
Beautiful rifle - even if it is a Browning!! Damn.. Nicest rifle I've ever seen from them.. Congrats sir. smile
