Some of these rounds already exist! Examples:

"6mm-08" also known as ".243 Winchester".
"6.5mm-08" aka ".260 Remington".
"35-08" aka ".358 Winchester".

I can't remember who necked up the .308 case to .338, but I believe some cartridge manufacturer did, n'est pas?

Like the .30/06 case, the 7.62x51 NATO cartridge case (aka ".308 Winchester") has been necked up and down to about every imaginable caliber.
