I have a 700 SPS Stainless. I want to put on different stock. I'm going to try painting a spare stock and I'm just looking at different ideas. I would like to see everybody's stainless/synthetic stock. I try to picture some of the different stock colors on stainless, but you know the saying "a picture is worth a thousand words" I'd really like to see some stainless with a camo stock.
What is your favorite color? Which do you hate?

That'll save a buncha fluff.

Dosen't matter...I just like to see what everybody has. I like looking at all the fluff grin
You'd best PM Douche Adair,DilldO,'99,Brad and the Window Lickin' Gang for fluff particulars.

I reckon they can Photoshop some serious AirSoft schitt!(grin)

Model 700 Alaskan Ti, .280 Remington
I really like the Ti stock. I understand it's a B&C, but the ones that I've looked at online have checkering? I'd like to have one without the checkering just like the factory version.
[Linked Image]
Ti stocks have no checkering, you looking at other versions.
Faux Ti 243, I just sprayed the Ti stock with alumahyde tan and krylon webbing spray.

Don't mind the blue tape, I don't think woodchucks are scared of blue....they are scared of 75 Vmax's though.

Plan simple and really get the job done.

Exactly what I plan on doing with my stock. I have the krylon webbing spray on order.
I like the tan, but wonder what it would look like olive green with the webbing?
I like brown... smile

Do you miss the snow yet? A real winter was the biggest thing I missed after spending a few "winters" in Texas.
I like that brown/black, looks good!!
Can't say as I missed it one bit. Likely will in a few years.

This coming from a guy with the uglyest McMillian of all time! grin

I've found a way to forgive him for doing that to a rifle. I totally dig the Red/yellow rifle on the dock!! And have warmed up some to the Glacial(greenish ,blue and white) rifle on the pack!

Sorry searun rainbow but pink rifles make me puke. I'd die a happy man if I never saw a pink stock on a rifle ever again.

Better close-up of the stock and metal:
[Linked Image]

That's olive paint on a Bansner stock, with silver and black spiderwebbing, and the metal has been aluminum oxide blasted for a matte, very slightly textured, finish.
McSwirly on a Ruger M77 338WM

But now she's on a black rifle!....grin

[Linked Image]
VA, how do you like that Aluminum Oxide blast finish?
I'm having Karl do that to my .264
Love it.

Very matte finish, even overall, wears well, and provides just barely enough texture.
Great! thats what I was after. thanks

Not agreat pic but this was my first camo job a while back. Not the greatest (I know!) but it does seem to work well enough in the woods. will gt around to redoing some time. I really like that olive-gray-black McMillan up there. Some very nice looking rigs in the bunch.
