Stopped at exit 89 off I-24 today at a little place. They let me play with a 700Ti in .30-06, a Model 7 KS in 7mm-08, and a Kimber 84L plus a bunch of other cool stuff. I sure wanted that Ti.

I had some tuna fish salad for lunch. At Wawa. Good stuff.

$1500.00 for the Ti, and $2450.00 for the Model 7 KS.

If the Ti would have been a .270, I would have bought it.

They also had a Model 700 in a Bell & Carlson Alaskan Ti stock with Talley rings.

I'm going to order an Alaskan Ti stock for my .270. I liked it.

Is that the ADL stock? On the Stocky's site it looks like the standard barrel 700 will only fit in in the BDL style Alaskan Ti.

Running the 140 grain bullet. 270 Roy out runs both 7mm Roy andRem mag...... I just want something with more range than my. 270 win's we've got a 1,000 yard range and after 500 my walk around rifles are in way over their heads....

Where i hunt mouflon, isards, roes and boars i'm playing in mountain place of 50000 hectares sometime more than that. The equipment my facility uses is French. When the installer came over he did quite a bit of shooting with me. There were many casting/loading tools I helped him acquire while he was here. French hunters/shooters are welcome at my fire anytime!

A bit overkill for deer may be (450grs .50cal a little over 2000fps with stout load of VN120) but dead is dead. With the 500grs Woodleight i would have no worry against a big bear (even Alaskan). Barrel is Lothar Walther 20inch long. Four rounds tube mag and "fast sight" for driven or dangerous game. Shot 3 in 5cm at 75 yards.
Not a big canyons rifle but minute of close range big game accuracy....

Last Wednesday I got off I-70 east of Denver and bought a John Deere tractor with bucket, blade and brush hog. Spent a lot of time on I-25 and I-70 Saturday looking for a flatbed trailer with which to haul it home. While headed up I-25 to Loveland to look at one of them we got off the interstate for some cold drinks. On the way back home we cruised down I-25 again, stopping by the home of Daughter #2 and her hubby to take them out for dinner before looking at the last trailer of the day. Had to run off the highway for a while but we got back on E-470 at Brighton for the run to Parker. Found a couple trailers we like and will likely be hopping on I-70 again tomorrow to buy the 20 foot one. Then more interstate travel to get the tractor and get it home.

Much more fun than looking at rifles I don't even like...

Cool we got to 50 pages. That will bring in some money for the Campfire.

Back in the early 80s, my mom took an old friend of hers on a trip to Quebec and other sites in Canada. Her lady friend was a WWI French "war bride", from southern France orginally. But bear in mind, Juliette had lived in the USA since about 1919, spoke perfect English, albeit with a slight French accent.

When they stopped at a restaurant near Quebec, mom's friend heard quite a bit of French being spoken, so she tried to order in her native language. The teenage waitress got upset, asked mom if she spoke English, 'cause she couldn't understand what Juliette was trying to say.

The old girl was miffed, told mom the French Canadians had mongrelized "her" language, to the point that they'd ruined it for anyone that actually spoke the language properly.

I suppose I should also admit that some of my people came from France too. They helped the Normans invade England way back when.
