Has any one out there on the 'Fire fitted an Edge on their Howa 1500 / Weatherby Vanguard (long action)? What is the final weight (with scope included?)achieved???

Stainless Howa. 7mm Rem mag/24" barrel. DNZ mounts with Redfield Revolution 3-9X40 scope. Sako pattern Edge stock.


8 lbs even.

Thanks for your feed back - I would have thought around 7 1/2 lb.
The "club" stock on mine is makeing way for an Edge - shouldnt be too far off now.

My Edge is currently on order and I will be using my Howa in 30-06 next week on fallow and red deer. Once the trip is over, I will take the original stock off the rifle and weigh the barreled action / scope. The Edge weighs ~600 grams so I will get a better idea where I will be at once the edge is bolted on.
The original stock I will put aside just in case I come across a 25-06 barreled action.
