I like it.... but even though i have mutliple calibers in some.... i am TRYING to tell myself i dont need TWO of them in .300 wthby. Just gave the one i have a hunt in MT for elk, and it did its job at 471 yds with one shot. Hmmmmm..... resist teh temptation on yet another....i think i can resist, i think i can, i think i can....
Quick question, how do you know if a Remington is a KS? I saw a 300 win mag at a gun show recently that looked just like this with the gray ADL style stock and pencil barrel, but it didn't have "KS" printed on it anywhere. I thought it was just a Mountain Rifle in an aftermarket stock. if I remember correctly, the guy was only asking about $650 or so for it. Did I miss a great buy?
The "KS" does not have all the stamping on the barrel like a regular run rifle does.
Barrels were 24" on KS models I believe, standard mountain rifles are 22".
If it was a real KS for 650.00 in good shape that would have been in my gun cabinet that afternoon........
I have a standard mountain rifle in a older KS take-off stock, ain't no flys on it either.
