Who makes aftermarket synthetic stocks for the 84M? Or can you buy the Montana stock from Kimber it's self?

Thanks
Les

Call Kimber. I heard a replacement Montana stock was $400. The Montana stock would be difficult to top, but not sure if you're looking to spend that much.

I think they told me $475 for replacement Montana stock

Thanks guys. I wasn't sure if they sold replacements or not.

Yeah...

If you call the Montana sales office ask to speak to Barry. He'll know all the facts.

$400 for the stock, $75 for the trigger guard, $25 for the ss studs. And a whole lot of reasons for why you need it... grin

I do like the way you think Kimber7man.

Call Barry. Got it.

A plastic stock, some stainless Cerakote and a aluminum trigger guard would make a wood and blue rifle look like a real gun that won't bounce off critters. I've heard bullets out of wood an blue do that. smile almost forgot. Tally LW and a Leupold 2.5-8X36 with CDS on the top and side.

Kimberman there's a guy selling aluminum TG for the Montana's in the classifieds for $45 Look there saving $ already

Can't we just get it direct from their maker, IE Ramline....grin

Or any carbon fiber stock for that matter. I know a Lone Wolf is $485 un-bedded for a Remington.

To the OP, keep us posted. They told me a couple months ago $600 for a 84L Montana AND the rifle had to be sent back to them for fitting.

I'll keep ya posted Bigwoop. I have a few other projects to tie up before this. Anyone know the going price to have a smith fit the stock?

You'd probably be money ahead if you sold the current rifle and bought a Montana.

What happened to the stock that came with the rest of the rifle?

Do you have one of those fancy stocks and you don't want to scratch it?

Speaking of which have you aired out your 84M yet? Curious to hear how it does!
Posted By: Les7603006 Re: Kimber 84M ? - 03/15/12
Truthfully I haven't received it yet. Just dreaming of what I'm going to do with it. I'm getting it from a member here so I don't have the 6 to 9 month wait for a new one. The owner said it likes the heavy's,sub MOA according to the owner.

It probably would be cheaper to just buy a Montana but I've been told it could be a year wait. I've called every dealer in 100 miles and the only Montana in stock is a 325 WSM about 20 min. away. I'm just not interested in that large of a caliber. With today's bullets that little 7 will do anything I'll ever do. And there is a good chance my interest will be somewhere else a year from now. It does have pretty nice wood on it that would be a shame to beat to he!! Also all I've ever owned has had wood. I would be keeping the wood, and down the road the Montana would probably be a easy sell considering 3 people on this topic have contacted Kimber on prices.

I just got my aluminum trigger guard so I will sell you the steel one for $30. And make me an offer on there scope rings
Posted By: Kimber7man Re: Kimber 84M ? - 03/15/12
I didn't just contact Kimber on prices. The prices I showed were what I actually paid, plus tax and shipping of course.
Posted By: Les7603006 Re: Kimber 84M ? - 03/15/12
Brad you know I'd have to buy a aluminum one to. smile thanks for the offer though. And the seller is including Tally LW lows so I'm set there. I will keep that trigger guard in mind incase the aluminum isn't available at that time.

Kimberman, how did it fit? Are you pleased with it, fit and finish good. Would you do it again.
